THE TUSCAN LANDSCAPE
The Tuscan Landscape is characterized by its continuum
of harmonious hills and by its somewhat monastic panoramas,
but man's work is visible everywhere - everywhere,
man and landscape form an inseparable union synthesized
in the solid farmhouses, towered castles, sunny villas
and stately palaces.
SYLLABUS
The History of Landscape Art and Life Study courses
will enable students sojourning in the actual environment
depicted in so many "landscapes" by great
Italian painters to understand the meaning of "Tuscan
Landscape Painting." The Italian Language lessons
and the course in Language of Color will be complementary
aids to a more complete grasp of the subject.
GUIDED TOURS
There will be outings for outdoor painting along with
guided tours to the museums of Florence, Cortona and
Assisi and to the Casentino or Tiber Valleys. During
these excursions, art and the landscape will be your
companions in this magical experience. |
