THE ETRUSCAN ARCHEOLOGICAL
TERRITORY OF TUSCANY
Training on
actual archeological sites within the Arezzo area
and throughout Tuscany will be an important step
in the acquistion of historical and artistic knowledge
of this land, once known as Etruria.
Rich archeological, anthropological and artistic
finds help explain the mysterious people, Etruscans,
from whom modern Tuscans descend.
SYLLABUS
The course includes Art History and Italian Language
lessons, conferences held by the Tuscan Archeological
Superintendent, practical on-site excavations and
guided tours to the most famous museums and archeological
spots in the area.
GUIDED VISITS
There will be guided tours to the museums of Cortona,
Arezzo, Chiusi and Florence, and to the Archeological
centers of Vetulonia, Populonia, Arezzo, Chiusi,
and Cortona.
