Arrival and Departure: Sunday afternoon
An insight into each manufacturing sector is obtained
through contact with the specific regional area
where the product is created. Each seminar starts
with a full immersion in the landscape, architecture,
and the furnishings of the location where the group
will be accommodated. The group will learn about
the history and folklore of the place where they
are staying.
Sunday afternoon a welcome cocktail
will be served and guests will be able to rest before
having a typical Tuscan dinner. The locations where
our guests will be staying are historical farmhouses
or villas from the Renaissance or the nineteenth
century. These places dominate the Arezzo valley
and the landscape is beautiful!
Monday is the first day of the
seminar. After breakfast, participants are left
free for the morning. It is possible to visit Arezzo
or Cortona or they can take a walk around the area
where they will be attending their afternoon class.
After lunch, the first seminar will be held. The
supervisor will describe the topic studied using
clarifying cards, audio-visual material and other
materials useful for lectures and discussions. At
the end of the first meeting, an introduction to
the museums will be given. At the end of the class,
the participants will be able to relax and have
dinner.
Tuesday, after breakfast, a guided
visit to museums of specific interest for the seminar
will be organized with the teacher of the course.
A private bus will take the participants to the
museums. The sites of these tours usually are ancient
cities: Florence, Siena, Perugia, Bologna, and Venice
and beautiful smaller Italian cities like Anghiari,
San Sepolcro, Pienza, and Montelupo Fiorentino.
After lunch, they will continue to gain an insight
in the world of artisan production. The first workshops
and the first contacts. In the evening, they will
be driven back to the place of residence for dinner.
If there are historic events in a neighboring town,
they can take part in them while spending a few
hours in a happy environment enjoying Tuscan wine,
food and music.
After breakfast on Wednesday, participants
will continue with their lesson for a few hours
to further their knowledge on the topic and to discuss
what the group learned on the previous day. After
lunch, the group will be driven by a private bus
to visit other sites of interest from an educational
and business point of view.
Thursday and Friday the participants
will visit workshops all day. They will have lunch
at a typical local restaurant and will go back to
the place of residence for the dinner.
Saturday is the last day. In the
morning, the participants will meet with other artisans.
After lunch, final greetings will be held with the
representative of Federimpresa at the place of residence.
Departure will be on Sunday. If
there are any exhibitions or fairs, such as the
antique market in Arezzo, guests can spend the morning
there to further their knowledge and to create a
network. After lunch, a private bus will take the
group to the airport from the place of residence.
